• In a professional context, "AA" can stand for two main things: Affirmative Action, a policy to increase opportunities for underrepresented groups, or Administrative Assistant, a job title. Less commonly in Washington DC, it can refer to an Auto Attendant system for phone calls or an Associate of Arts degree, though these are less frequent in a typical work-setting acronym context compared to the other two.
