- The phrase "flat as a pancake" is also used to describe females with small breasts. In the United States, people often eat pancakes with Maple syrup on top. Aunt Jemima is a well-known brand of Maple syrup. So "Aunt Jemima" = Maple syrup = pancakes = flat as a pancake.
