  2. to hear, understand.
    Did you catch that?
  3. to get, buy, attend, etc., when referring to meals. Origin: perhaps derived from hunting, as in catching an animal for food.
    I caught lunch at the deli down the street.
    Do you want to go catch a bite to eat?
