- The "get (one's) X on" phrase is very versitile. It used to make verbs out of nouns in a way of describing what the subject of a sentance acting out. The phrase's interesting part is the possession it brings to the activity: "I am not going out drinking but I am getting MY drink on."
I'm about to get my drink on.
