In Olde England, your bar tab was a chalk board with your name, P's (pints) and Q's (quarts), to be paid at the end of the evening. If you got lit, and your bar keep was shifty, you could drink P's and get get charged for Q's. So, mind your P's and Q's!by Anonymous, Oct 21 2009.
