Definition of neighbor
neighbor
- Term used to denote an ambiguous relationship between two people--they're not really going out, but they're not 'just friends'. Mostly used by outsiders to define the relationship of someone they know, or by the person him/herself to explain who the hell they brought to the party.
Person A: Hey Steve, who's this, the new girlfriend? I thought you just broke up.
Person B: Nah, she's just the neighbor.by KB, Walnut Creek, CA, USA, Jan 02 2002.
