Definition of slack-jaw
slack-jaw 
noun
- a moron or lazy person, typically residing in a rural area; BUMPKIN. Literally: a person whose jaw hangs open.
It's suggested that the individual is either too lazy to hold their jaw closed or is too stupid to notice.
