Submit a slang term to the dictionary

All submissions are checked by hand before they are added to the dictionary. As the process is manual, it may take some time before your word appears. I may edit your submission for formatting, grammar, spelling, clarity, etc.

Soon I'll put a form here for submissions. In the interim, you can e-mail your submissions to me at waltergr@aol.com. I'll only e-mail you if I have questions or when I add your term to the dictionary. Or tell me not to e-mail you, and I won't.

Please include

• The slang word
• The definition
• The word used in a sentence
• Attribution information. Include at least your location, and also your name if you'd like it to appear. For example:
• Full name and full location: Walter Rader, Sacramento, CA
• Anonymous but full location: Anonymous, Sacramento, CA
• Full name but partial location: Walter Rader, CA

Slang that I, regrettably, won't add

• Derogatory terms for people of specific racial, ethnic, or religious backgrounds
• Derogatory terms for people of specific sexual orientations
• Common misspellings, e.g. "wut" for what, "dat" for that, "wer" for where, etc.
• Terms for illegal drug items. This isn't a moral thing, it's a practicality thing. There are literally thousands of these terms, and more are invented all the time to be discreet. Consider marijuana alone: blunt, bud, herb, ganja, grass, hay, pot, spliff, tea, wacky tabacky, weed...
• I will add terms for being under the influence of drugs, so bring it on creative stoners. :)
