Usually this is performed by distracting one of the parties, obstructing the path between the "pursuing" male and the person being pursued, etc. Reasons for "cock blocking" vary. The cock blocker may have the intention of talking to the pursued person; the cock blocker may not like the male who is attempting to talk to someone; the cock blocker may be looking out for the best interests of the person being pursued, perhaps due to their intoxication. Cock blocking may be intentional or unintentional.
