To resolve Google's penalty
against this site (still active after 441 days)
I've been forced to censor all 5,300 citations of slang use.
With the penalty in place, there's just no way to compete on a level playing field
with dictionaries that don't have citations. Guys: I'm sorry.

gaff it up
- to tape something very firmly. Commonly used by stage workers in Northern California (grips, best boys, lead gaffs).
We had to gaff it up so it would stay.

- from gaffer - the studio tech producer who sets everything up at the shoot - they tape all cables to the floor using 'gaffer' tape. (sometimes known as duct tape in UK)
