smuck

  • a light smack upside the head, the intensity of which is more akin to ruffling someone's hair than to any real attempt to actually smack or harm the person. Originally heard/learned by submitter in: Montreal, QC, Canada.
    She laughed at the teasing and gave him a quick smuck of warning.
    She arched a brow at the taunt, and smucked him in response.

  • To run up behind a guy and, with your fingers curled into a fist but with thumb erect, swing your arm forward, striking him between his butt cheeks and yell "smuck"; then run away quickly.

    Provenance: This was a short-lived fad among teen males in high schools 1959-60 and referred to as "smucking". Origin: unknown.
