C

cheese and crackers got all muddy

interjection

origin

  • Possibly from a joke, such as the following.

A mother sent her child to get some milk, crackers and cheese at the store. It was raining. On the way home, the grocery bag broke and everything fell on the road. Frustrated, the child yelled, "Jesus Christ God Almighty!" The mom stepped out the door and asked, "What did you just say?" The quick thinking child responded, "Cheese and crackers got all muddy."
