  • "dictatorial". Used in the 1957 short story, "Sonny's Blues," by James Baldwin.
    That family tends to be a little dicty, so don't act too funky around them.

  • to get pulled over by the cops; could also mean getting arrested.
    With all the police cars in the area, you could get popped for speeding.
