gorp
- Gorp was used in Manchester when I was young in the 1950's. It was used to describe a person considered to have low intelligence or awareness.
Joe is a right gorp. He's 7 and can't tell the time.

That bloke is a right gorp.
We used the word gorp in the 70s in Lancashire. Defininitely nothingto do with Ricky Gervais.
Definitely used before Gervais was born.

- a compliment given in exchange for a compliment. That is: person #1 has heard a compliment about person #2, but person #1 wants to hear a compliment about themselves before they'll tell person #2 the compliment they heard about them. Also called "trade last".
