- "Poom" (noun), is a part of the 2 part word "poom-poom meaning "woman's vagina". Eg. "Female animals have vaginas but only women have poom-pooms". Poom-pooms are sweet... To ride, to f...k or to eat. A popular underground song in Jamaica during the 70's was "Every poom is the same poom-poom". Alternative spelling of the word is "pum-pum". Other artists popularizing the term in song include "One Man" (feat. Gaza Slim), The Nicest(Street) and Big Up (Hip Hop remix) by Shaggy & Rayvon.
