Definition of Category Parenthesis Wordmaking Method
Category Parenthesis Wordmaking Method
noun
- A method of word making that uses parenthesis attached to the end of a word to indicate a specific meaning rather than the general word as a whole, the category name of the specific meaning of the word is added and subcategory name is placed after the category name separated by a period, there is no upper limit for number of layers of categories within these parenthesis. It is preferred to use as most simple words as possible for assigning categories and to have at least 7 layers of categories. This is to make it easier to trace words instead of endlessly scrolling for a specific definition.
Example: set "collection of different things; these things are called elements or members of the set and are typically mathematical objects of any kind: numbers, symbols, points in space, lines, other geometrical shapes, variables, or even other sets" = set(quantity. notreal. system. knowledge. science. natural. math. object. class)
Apple "round, edible fruit produced by an apple tree (Malus spp., among them the domestic or orchard apple; Malus domestica)" = apple(quantity. real. property. state. order. class. arrange. structure. being. life. organ. plant. selfmaking-female. fruit. simple. fleshy. pome. round. edible).
(I had to separate the periods because the maximum word length is 30 characters).
Personally, I used Wikidata to come up with this category hierarchy, I looked under "value hierarchy property" on the Wikidata page for a mathematical set. If there was no value hierarchy property I would then see if it was a subclass, if there were no subclasses, I would see if it were an instance of something.
