Definition of Double Negation Fallacy

Double Negation Fallacy

  • The fallacy that states that, the negation of two elements of something (the double negation) while always be congruent to that something.

Example: "The moon is high in the sky, since the sun (element 1) is the opposite of the moon and high is the opposite of low (element 2), then the sun must be low"

This logic is wrong, when a blood moon happens, the sun is not low when the moon is high.
