Definition of shruggery

  • The sociopolitical approach that embraces the notion that:

A: A problem is only a problem if it effects you directly.

B: There are people behind the scenes that are hard at work making your problem go away so you don't have to.

The weak election day turnout is another clear indication that political shruggery has reached an all time high.

    Complacency, apathy, self-absorption.
