• A gangster rapper who is not a real gangster, someone who raps about the gangster lifestyle but is not a gangster, they don't belong to a gang nor represent the lifestyle in their personal life, someone who is soft in reality but acts hard in the studio, or on record. Compare with wannabe; faker.

  That fool only bangs on wax, he's ain't nothin' but a studio gangster.
