Definition of stump-broke
stump-broke
- Having sex in the woods. It is used to poke fun at a person or couple. As far as I know its an old hillbilly saying from the late 1940s or early 1950s, might even be older than that. I have only heard it used by people from southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, and mostly by older folks.
