Google's penalty
against this site (still active after 441 days)
I've been forced to censor all 5,300 citations of slang use.
With the penalty in place, there's just no way to compete on a level playing field
with dictionaries that
don't have citations. Guys: I'm sorry.

- A way of life developed by Minor Threat, referring to a person who resists mind-altering substances, such as alcohol, cigarettes, and marijuana, and also does not engage in premarital sex. The term was originated in 1980 by Ian McKaye, the lead signer of a punk-hardcore band named Minor Threat, who wrote a song called "Straight-Edge." Today, many people follow this way of life by refusing drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
Those kids are Straight-Edge.
