  • to beat someone badly.

lovers lane

  • the worst or most remote seats at an arena, stadium or other venue. At some colleges, disinterested students ask for really bad seats to some sporting events and then spend the game being intimate. They can say they've been to the game but didn't actually watch it.
    For $35 a ticket, I'd hoped we'd do better than lovers lane for the playoffs.
