• an addiction to tanning one's skin. Tanorexics may use a tanning booth, and may develop leathery orange skin. Just like anorexia, there is an altered sense of reality - in this case they think the tan looks awesome.

  That girl has tanorexia, someone needs to tell her to stay out of the tanning bed!
