  • A stunt involving a person to fall into or be throw onto the hay for a television or movie scene. The impact one makes when swinging on a rope off of a barn rafter and winds up in a haystack for summer fun. Such bodily contact with the hay. "But when I wind up hittin' the hay, it's only hay. Hey hey!" Lyrics from the theme song 'The Unknown Stuntman' for the television series The Fall Guy.
