- Gorp was used in Manchester when I was young in the 1950's. It was used to describe a person considered to have low intelligence or awareness.
Joe is a right gorp. He's 7 and can't tell the time.

We used the word gorp in the 70s in Lancashire. Defininitely nothingto do with Ricky Gervais.
