To resolve
Google's penalty
against this site (still active after 438 days)
I've been forced to censor all 5,300 citations of slang use.
With the penalty in place, there's just no way to compete on a level playing field
with dictionaries that
don't have citations. Guys: I'm sorry.

- Often used in Texas and parts of the South as a greeting originated from "How do you do?" shortened to "how do you?" and said rapidly with the words running together with a Southern accent or a twang resulting in "Howdy?" It is often followed by "How are you?" or some other pleasantry which is often redundant.
