- Listeners of ska style music, they usually dress in two-tone colors. Origin: early Jamaica.
Those rude boys dress real weird.

- also: rudeboy, rudebwoy, rudebway, rudie, et al., a Jamaican term for gangster, used in a similar way as American gangsta. a gang member, a "badman", a person who carries himself like a gangster. Also used in England, influenced by Jamaican immigrants and popularized by Dancehall Reggae music and Ragga/Raggamuffin music as well as in the Ska subculture with a related but different meaning, a fan of Ska music, especially one who dresses in a specific style.
