smoker

  • "A smoker" is someone who is addicted to smoking crack cocaine, and whose addiction prevents them from being completely trustworthy or able to follow through on commitments. This term is not a form of denigration- it doesn't make them a bad person or consign them to a criminal class. It simply calls attention to their limitations in relationship to everyday activities. Example of usage: "Nah, he a smoker, so he don't show up to practice on-time, or at all. But when he do get here, he's ready to play and he's tight." Usage noted in San Francisco & Oakland California during from the 1990's to the present day.
