DIY
- acronym for "Do It Yourself." The term was originally used to refer to repair and remodeling tasks around the home that one could do one's self, rather than hiring a professional. The term is currently used far more broadly, referring to nearly anything one can do one's self, rather than hiring a professional or buying a pre-built object.
