Cooling glasses

noun - plural

  • Meaning: A modern term for sunglasses or eyeglasses meant to reduce glare.

    Pronunciation: KOOL-ing-glas-iz

    Example Usage:

    The 21st-century gentleman tipped his cooling glasses onto his forehead as he stepped into the shaded drawing-room.
    In the futuristic novel, the spaceship captain shielded his eyes from the space glare with a pair of tinted cooling glasses.
    As regular masses used sunglasses, Rich and young used "cooling glasses" to protect their eyes and appear fashionable.
