Distractio dice bene
noun
- A distraction which is formed by saying "okay" or any other equivalent in order to make your upcoming argument, claim or statement sound more moderate or reasonable, and especially used in a way to end a conversation and to end a statement or claim within a conversation.
In English, this just means "The Saying Okay/Good Distraction", if you want you can just call this the Saying Okay Distraction. the Saying Okay Distraction has a slight difference in definition though, the Saying Okay Distraction has to be formed by saying exactly the word "okay" rather than an equivalent to the word "okay". Distractio dice bene can be formed by any equivalent to the word. Also this part of Distractio dice bene's definition "and especially used in a way to end a conversation and to end a statement or claim within a conversation", is not a part of the definition of the Saying Okay Distraction
It is written in Latin, so that people from other languages can understand the title, this is a tradition among some fields of science, though I shouldn't credit myself as this isn't made by me, so I apologize.Last edited on Aug 29 2024. Submitted by Anonymous on Aug 29 2024.
