  • interjection used to express disappointment or outrage, usually in public gatherings such as sporting events, speeches, and musical performances.
    When the referee gave the home team a penalty, their fans yelled "BOO!"

  • The "boyfriend or girlfriend" sense of this term may derive from "beau", meaning "beautiful" in French. Beau (pronounced "boe") has been used in English for some time to mean "boyfriend."

  • to do a U turn or turn around while driving. I believe the origin of this is the military.
    I'm going to cut a cookie and go back to Taco Bell.

  • To be a little bit, ditzy, not all together there. Usually refers to a shallow or not too bright person.
    That chick is dingy.
    My ex-wife is a little dingy. She thinks chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

DL

  • DL is short for down-low, which basically means to keep things under-wraps, to keep a secret or lay low.
    I'll tell you this, but, you gotta promise to keep it on the DL.

  • D.L. means down low. it means that something is not known to all. if you keep something on the D.L... you don't share it with others.
    I don't want my Dad to find out, so keep it on the D.L.
