  • an affiliation or crew. Origin: hip hop.

  • It means ghetto, pretty much. Like you're keepin' it gully when your belt breaks and you use a string instead. It's a good thing, too, as opposed to "Damn, that car is so ghetto!"

  • A fool, moron, or otherwise ignorant person. A person pretending to be street smart, but lacking it entirely. Often used to refer to a person who makes a fool of themselves while trying to impress others.

  • Money transferred directly from a band to a DJ, to bribe the DJ into playing their songs either on the radio or on a video channel.
    The DJ was fired for accepting Payola.
