noun

  • A southerner or one who has been raised in a rural area and has the characteristics similar to that of a hillbilly.
    She grew up in the south, so she is a bit of a country bumpkin.
    I live in Chicago, but since I grew up on a farm my friends still think I'm a country bumpkin.
