  • a young - typically pre-pubescent - surfer. 1960s slang.
    Wally's brother Beav is a grommet down at Huntington Beach.

  • A surfer poser. Pretends to be a surfer but does not surf. 1960s slang.
    That hodad, Eddie Haskell bolts a surfboard to the top of his Woody.
