noun

  • a friend, usually white.

  • a person who uses computers maliciously. This usually involves "cracking" security.

  • superfluous source code that has yet to be removed.

    There's so much cruft that there's no way we're going to be able to implement that feature on schedule.

    It works decently, but if you crack it open, you can tell it's pretty crufty.
