NIH syndrome 
noun - uncountable
- a "syndrome" involving a company's hesitance or refusal to use any idea or product it didn't invent or create. NIH is an acronym for "not invented here."
Since middle management suffers from NIH syndrome, we've been reinventing the wheel quite a bit lately.
