have a face like a bag of hammers

verb

notes

  • The original phrase is: "As useless as a bag of hammers." The implied meaning is that 1 hammer is useful with a bag of nails, but a bag of hammers and no nails is useless.

"Having a face like a bag of hammers" is a nonsensical twist on the original phrase.
