  • in a computing context, to search "manually" - i.e. by looking rather than using a computer program specifically intended for searching.
    I like GUIs because I can grep them visually for what I'm looking for.

  • The name given to a very short skirt. Origin: Greyhound racing. i.e. It is only an inch from the "hare."
    That babe's got a bit of a greyhound there.

GREYHOUNDING

  • When a person goes after another person and goes as far as making a date and then everything drops and that person disappears (like Ghosting), it is similar to a greyhound who runs the race and catches the rabbit and is spoiled and no longer able to race.
