Pulling a Rife

  • When someone arrogantly sabotages their own business or project through overconfident blunders, like picking unnecessary fights, making baseless claims, or alienating partners, only to watch it all backfire spectacularly. Often involves hiding behind excuses while the competition thrives.
Used in a sentence: "Dude, starting that petty lawsuit against your rivals just because your ego got bruised? You're totally pulling a Rife and now your company's reputation is in the trash."
