- to fake something to escape a situation. Origin: from the fictional character Nancy Drew, who uses the same technique: feigning unconsciousness until her captor looses his grip, then running away. Notes: usually refers to faking an orgasm to get someone to stop having sex with you. Often simplified to "pull a Nancy."
